Mrs. Hanumakshi Gogi was born on June 1, 1955 in Baichabala village of Surpur taluk of Yadgiri district. A post graduate in Kannada with three gold medals from the Karnataka University, she also bagged the first position with a first rank in Legal Studies from the same university.Presently she is in the service of Cooperation Department of Karnataka State Government. Based in Hubli, she is a writer, researcher and publisher. She started a publishing house called “Mahila Sahitika” ,through which she published 49 works of different genres of literature by many writers.
